Cougar Band Info on Bonfire Pep Rally from Mr. Wallace
COUGAR BAND INFO
WHAT: Bonfire Pep Rally for the Cougar!!!
WHEN: Thursday, November 05, 2009, 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: Big field by the Clay Post Office next to BP Gas Station
WHO: Football team, cheerleaders, students, community, and the fabulous Cougar Band!!!!!
I would like the band to perform at the bonfire this evening. I will be at the band hall at 6:15 p.m. to open up for instruments. Most students can carry their instruments home after practice and meet me at the bonfire at 6:45. The bonfire pep rally should last about 30-45 minutes.
I know this is last minute planning but the Cougar Band needs to support our team and community in this event. Please make every effort to have your child at the pep rally. There will be many people from the community in attendance and these people need to see the band as much as possible in our efforts to raise funds for new uniforms.
As always, your cooperation and continued support of the Cougar Band is always appreciated. God bless all!!!
Musically,
J. Randell Wallace

Florence Itinerary
Dear Parents:
The Clay-Chalkville football team and band will be traveling to Florence, Alabama this Friday, November 6th, 2009 for our play-off game. As you can see from the itinerary below, the Cougar Band is leaving earlier than usual. We have the opportunity to observe the University of North Alabama “Pride of Dixie” Band in rehearsal and a private performance of their show just for our band students. This is a marvelous opportunity for our students to see a great college band and to see what college band is all about.
We will not have an opportunity to eat lunch. Students are encouraged to bring a sack lunch or a snack for the trip to Florence. We will not eat supper until 4:00 p.m. and that is a long time to go without food of some type. The band boosters are going to have something for the students to eat and drink after the game. Our students just need some type of snack to sustain them until 4:00 p.m.
Your cooperation and continued support of the Cougar Band is greatly appreciated.

Marching Competition on Saturday, October 17, 2009
Your child should have received an itinerary for the Marching Competition on Saturday, October 17, 2009, in Curry, Alabama. Just a couple of notes in case the itinerary has not made its way to you.
The band needs to be on the practice field by 10:30 a.m. Your child should eat a large breakfast and bring a lunch/snack to eat before boarding the buses around 11:30.
The band performs at 5:00 -- Go Cougar Band! Since my itinerary has not made it way to me, I cannot tell you exactly when the band will eat at Curry - I believe it will be after their performance but not 100% sure. Please check with your child concerning the supper meal at Curry and encourage them to eat breakfast and have a snack before leaving CCHS as it could be a while between meals.
The band should return to CCHS around 9:30.
Any questions, please ask your child! They should have received lots of information from Mr. Wallace.
